Here in San Jose, Ca being near Silicon Valley, our lives can get pretty hectic. We never stop thinking about our day to day activities, however it’s important to just stop once in a while. Stop to experience pure silence and stillness, taking a second to return back to our true inner selves. A physical state where we can open our eyes and feel the freshness of being. Even if you want to do that it can be very difficult to find such a place. That is why I introduce to you the Float Pod.
This tank was developed by a neuroscientist in 1954, his name was John C. Lilly. There has been a long battled question in history, what is consciousness and where does it come from? His aim was to deprive the human biological system of any sensory stimuli. In doing so he invented the flotation tank, which had several other benefits unbeknownst to him.
